Congress says Biden is using the government to protect Hunter and his family after CIA chief of staff who dismissed laptop story as ‘Russian intelligence’ was appointed to White House intelligence advisory board
- House Oversight Ranking Member James Comer told DailyMail.com Biden is using government ‘to protect the Biden family’
- Comes after Biden appointed Jeremy Bash to his Intelligence Advisory Board
- Bash was a former chief of staff at the Pentagon and the CIA under President Obama and called Hunter laptop a product of ‘Russian disinformation’
- Several media outlets, including DailyMail.com, confirmed the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, which included a slew of sexual and drug-related content
- Bash will now sit on a 16-seat board that serves to give the president advice on matters related to national intelligence
- Bash was a national security pundit for MSNBC during the Trump years
The top Republican on the House Oversight committee is accusing Joe Biden of using the government to shield himself and his son from fallout regarding information found on Hunter’s laptop.
Biden appointed an Obama-era top CIA and Pentagon official to his national intelligence advisory board, despite his claims that Hunter’s laptop was a product of Russian disinformation.
Representative James Comer of Kentucky told DailyMail.com that ‘the Biden Administration has a pattern of using the power of the federal government to protect the Biden family and reward those who do their bidding.’
‘It comes as no surprise that President Biden is appointing to his Intelligence Advisory Board a partisan who colluded with the Swamp to hide the truth and influence the 2020 election by dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story,’ the House Oversight and Reform Committee’s ranking member added.
He noted that the administration has refused to sanction Russian oligarchs with ties to Hunter and has participated in ‘hiding’ suspicious activity of his family members from Congress.
Further fueling GOP allegations of nefarious behavior is Biden’s Friday appointment of Jeremy Bash, the former chief of staff at the Pentagon and the CIA under President Barack Obama, to sit on the 16-seat President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
Bash was one of 51 former intelligence officials who signed a letter suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop scandal was really just a product of Russian disinformation, dismissing the legitimacy of its damning contents.

House Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (left) told DailyMail.com that the appointment of Jeremy Bash (right) to Biden’s Intelligence Advisory Board is another move ‘using the power of the federal government to protect the Biden family’, including his son Hunter Biden
He also became an outspoken national security pundit for MSNBC during the Trump years.
Biden also appointed on Friday Blair Effron, cofounder of investment banking and advisory firm Centerview Partners, to his President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
The board provides the president with advice related to matters on national intelligence.
Just after the Hunter laptop saga began with a story that broke in the New York Post in October 2020, Bash joined 50 former intelligence officials who signed outlining their belief that the disclosure of emails ‘have all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.’
The move from the White House to bring Bash and Effron on board was revealed as further scandals connected to the President’s son and his story surfaced.
Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg told Joe Rogan that Facebook suppressed stories on the laptop after receiving a warning from the FBI that it was disinformation and more whistleblowers are contacting Republican lawmakers to claim the bureau is partisan.
Trump has made posts on his alternative social media platform Truth Social urging more FBI agents to come forward with stories of bias.
Since the initial story broke on the existence and content of Hunter’s device, DailyMail.com, the New York Times and other media outlets have confirmed the authenticity of the laptop that disclosed a trove of scandalous and corrupt behavior by the president’s son.
The letter’s signatories casting doubt on the authenticity gave no evidence to support their claim, but said their national security background had led them to be ‘deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.’
‘If we are right,’ they wrote, ‘this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.’
Bash currently serves as managing director of Beacon Global Strategies, an advisory firm he co-founded in 2013, and he serves on the boards of directors for two technology companies as well as on the boards for the Truman Center for National Policy and the International Spy Museum.
In recent weeks FBI whistleblowers have come forward to accuse the agency of deliberately slow-walking the investigation into the laptop. After the FBI showed up at a computer repair shop in Delaware to get the hard drive, the whistleblower claims leadership told agents ‘you will not look at that Hunter Biden laptop’ and ‘not going to change the outcome of the election again,’ according to Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson.

The contents of a laptop President Biden’s son Hunter dropped off for repairs in Delaware were turned over after he never returned for it and the shop owner found nefarious activity. The above picture was found on the laptop, along with several other images of drug use and sexual activity

The new claims come after whistleblower allegations emerged in July that in the lead-up to the 2020 election the FBI labeled the laptop as ‘disinformation.’
In October 2020, one month before the election, ‘an avenue of derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed’ by Timothy Thibault, a senior FBI agent at the bureau’s Washington Field office, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who fielded the whistleblower complaints, claimed in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Thibault shut down the investigation despite evidence that some of the details were true, according to that whistleblower. He was forced to resign on Friday after coming under scrutiny, sources told Washington Times.
‘Allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation,’ Grassley wrote.
Earlier this month FBI director Christopher Wray, testified that he found allegations the FBI mishandled the laptop to be ‘deeply troubling.’
Meanwhile, the Department of Justice probe in Delaware has intensified in recent weeks over whether to bring charges on tax violations or making false statements on purchasing a gun, sources told CNN.
Hunter would have been prohibited from buying a gun at the time because of his well-documented struggles with drug addiction.
He revealed after the 2020 election that he was being investigated on tax issues but denied any wrong doing.
Grassley said he would continue investigating Hunter Biden and wanted to root out ‘political bias’ within the FBI, during a gathering with Iowa Republicans on Sunday.
‘I want you to know that I’m not going to give up on the Hunter Biden investigation,’ Grassley said, according to The Washington Examiner. ‘Every one of you in this room and everybody that isn’t in this room, ought to have extraordinary confidence in the FBI. But today, we can’t have it.’
House Republicans have also vowed to investigate President Joe Biden’s son if they take the lower chamber’s majority.
‘I want you to know, I’m not going to give up exposing political bias in the FBI,’ said Grassley, currently the ranking member of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee.
‘It’s not the FBI agents at the grassroots of Iowa,’ Grassley continued. ‘It’s the people at central headquarters. We’ve got to have [FBI] Director [Christopher] Wray show us a concrete plan of how he’s going to get the political bias out of the FBI,’ Grassley said.
Wray was appointed to the job by former President Donald Trump.
Republicans have been harping over political bias at the FBI since the agency’s August 8 raid of Trump’s home and private club, Mar-a-Lago, to retrieve classified documents taken from the White House to the Florida estate.
At the same time, Trump and his allies have pointed to the revelation made by Facebook co-founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg that the platform suppressed Hunter Biden laptop stories ahead of the election due to a warning from the FBI.
The FBI told Fox Business that it ‘routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, of potential threat information, so that they can decide how to better defend against threats.’
In a statement Friday, Meta made clear the FBI’s warning to the social media giant didn’t specifically mention Hunter Biden.
‘As we’ve said, nothing about the Hunter Biden laptop story is new. Below is what Mark told Sen. Johnson in Oct 2020 and what Mark told Joe Rogan this week. The FBI shared general warnings about foreign interference – nothing specific about Hunter Biden,’ the Meta statement said.
REVEALED: America’s 144 million taxpayers will be forced to pay $2,500 EACH to foot Biden’s student $600BN college debt write-off that could worsen inflation and erase deficit reductions
President Joe Biden’s plan to forgive at least $10,000 in student loans has divided Americans and even members of his own Democratic party, raising tough questions about the scheme’s cost, popularity and even over its legality. The White House has not yet stated what the overall cost of the debt write-off will be, but estimates start in the region of $300 billion and some even exceed $1 trillion, making it one of the costliest executive actions in history. This raises troubling questions about how the scheme works, how much it will really cost, who will pay for it, whether the American public wants it, and even whether Biden is exceeding his powers as president. DailyMail.com spoke with students, tax payers, and economists about the debt write off — and broke it down into the key numbers — so readers could cast an informed vote about whether they support the measure in our poll.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Stallone, 76, has now denied Flavin’s allegations that he ‘engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate,’ PEOPLE reports.
Trump ‘bragged for years he had intelligence on ”naughty” Macron’s sex life’ – so is THAT what was in file seized from Mar-a-Lago and listed as ‘info re: President of France’?
Donald Trump bragged to some of his closest allies that he had ‘intelligence’ on French President Emmanuel Macron’s sex and love life that he learned during his time and president, a new report reveals. Two people with knowledge of the matter told Rolling Stone that Trump claimed to have learned about the dirt on Macron through briefings and viewing intelligence, but they admit it was sometimes hard to discern what information was real because he was a gossip. ‘It is often hard to tell if he’s bullshitting or not,’ one source said. Macron, 44, has been married to his wife Brigitte, 69, since 2007. Nearly 25 years his senior, Brigitte was previously Macron’s teacher before the two got married. After the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month, it released a list of documents seized, including item 1A, which was listed as ‘info re: President of France.’ It is not clear what was on that particular document, if it contained information that was classified or was collected from intelligence or whether it had anything to do with Macron’s personal life. Sources claim that Trump’s musing about Macron’s behavior did not include details or specifics and were more general accusations of indiscretions.
Navy SEALs DOPING scandal: Recruit, 24, who died during ‘hell week’ training tested positive for steroids alongside 40 classmates as officers demand new drug testing program
Kyle Mullen (left), 24 – who died after completing the grueling, 20-hour-a-day ‘hell week’ training course (inset) in February – had tested positive for steroid use after officers found syringes and performance enhancing drugs in his car. A follow-up investigation found that 40 other Navy Seal candidates had either tested positive, or had admitted to using steroids and other drugs during the brutal training course. Mullen’s mother, Regina said he did not use steroids while playing football for Yale and Monmouth University (right). She claimed he was pushed to drug use after failing his first attempt at the training course and learning that other SEAL candidates were doing the same. Dozens of current and former SEAL candidates say steroid use has become the norm during the brutal course selection over the last decade.
San Francisco’s homelessness laid bare: Images show city streets crowded with tents as figures show 8,000 are homeless – but woke politicians do nothing as business owners threatening to withhold taxes
Rows of tents were pictured lined up outside businesses with people’s belongings strewn across the sidewalk. Homeless individuals, some of whom were struggling with clear physical ailments as well as drug and alcohol addiction, sat in the street right outside entrances to residential properties and small businesses struggling to bounce back after highly restrictive Covid laws forced them to close, destroying revenues. The number of homeless people in San Francisco was tallied in February at almost 8,000, the second highest number of any year since 2005 according to the official government count which takes place every three years.

Top FBI agent accused of protecting Hunter Biden from probes RESIGNS: Veteran is marched out of HQ over claims he suppressed laptop story and was ‘politically biased’
Timothy Thibault, the FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the case (pictured), reportedly retired from the bureau at the end of last week and on Friday was escorted out of the building for the last time, according to Fox News. Thibault was one of 13 assistant special agents assigned to investigate the Hunter Biden laptop saga and was removed from the supervisory role by FBI Director Christopher Wray earlier this month after agency whistleblowers shed light on an alleged pattern of political bias from multiple high-ranking officials. The agent was also singled out by Senate Judiciary ranking member Chuck Grassley, who implored Wray and the attorney general to act on allegations of political bias influencing agency operations
